Thompson Tire launches Web site
NASHUA, N.H.-Thompson Tire Co. of Christiansburg, Va., has revamped its Web site, www.thompsontire.com, through software provider ASA Tire Systems.
The new Web site is interactive and allows customers to view a complete tire and wheel product line, find nearby locations, choose services, request quotes, find coupons and communicate directly with staff, ASA said. The five-store dealership employs 43.
ASA said its software tools are geared to help tire dealers and retreaders manage all facets of their businesses. These firms are able to choose three levels of site-design, which are user-friendly, innovative and affordable, the company said.
Packages include graphical statistic reporting, an e-mail control panel to add, remove and control up to 250 e-mail addresses, marketing options, credit applications and tire education pages.
Big O Tires raises funds for charity
CENTENNIAL, Colo.-Big O Tires Inc. partnered with the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) in July to help raise funds for pediatric cancer.
Big O and its more than 540 franchisees donated $50,000 to ALSF. All of Big O's stores set up lemonade stands July 10-15 in their customer waiting areas to provide information to customers about ALSF.
ALSF was started when a 4-year-old girl named Alexander ``Alex'' Scott began raising funds for research with her own lemonade stand. Alex died in August 2004 at age 8 from neuroblastoma, an aggressive childhood cancer.
Tire Kingdom plans to reach Hispanics
JUNO BEACH, Fla.-Tire Kingdom Inc., the retail arm of TBC Corp., has hired ViVA Partnership Inc. to help it reach Hispanic consumers.
ViVA is a woman/minority-owned advertising and marketing communications company. In June, ViVA launched a ``total market approach'' for Tire Kingdom with mass media, in-store promotions and other elements such as sweepstakes and community outreach, the firm said.
The ``multi-million dollar'' campaign was dubbed ``Everything is Running Smoothly/Todo Sobre Ruedas.''
