Cooper Bowl challenge to honor winners Saturday

FINDLAY, Ohio (Sept. 8, 2006) — Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. will present its Cooper Tire Bowl Challenge Cup trophy to the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and Big 12 Conference on Sept. 9.&copy

The Bowl Challenge Cup is presented annually to the conference with the highest winning percentage in its bowl games with a minimum of three games. This year the two conferences tied for the Cup with a record of 5-3 in last year's bowl games.

The ACC will be honored during the Virginia Tech/North Carolina game, which starts at noon EST. The Big 12 will be honored during the Oklahoma/Washington game, which starts at 3:30 EST.
