TAMPA, Fla. (Aug. 31, 2006) — Consolidated American Industries Corp., a diversified holding company with no previous activities in rubber or recycling, has formed a subsidiary to shred and process steel-belted passenger and truck tires at a plant being set up in Utica, N.Y.
Consolidated has set up a subsidiary, Consolidated American Rubber Corp., at its existing Utica facilities to make products made from scrap tires such as sidewalks, mud flaps, pallets, landscape mulch, arena footing and sports fill.
No other details about the new operation were disclosed.
Consolidated American Industries describes itself as a Nevada corporation with offices in Tampa involved in the manufacturing, natural resource and financial services business segments, including real estate lending, management and development activities.
