DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (Aug. 10, 2006) — The Specialty Equipment Market Association's (SEMA) Wheel & Tire Council (WTC) is seeking nominations for its Lifetime Achievement and Person of the Year awards, to be presented at this fall's SEMA trade show in Las Vegas.
The WTC Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to an individual chosen by members of the WTC for dedication and contribution to the wheel and tire industry over a period of 20 years or more. Nominees must have demonstrated exceptional service, integrity and business ethics related to the wheel and tire industry, be a current or past member of SEMA and have devoted a majority of his/her lifetime business time and resources to a product or service related to the wheel industry.
The council's Person of the Year Award is presented to an individual who has made significant contributions to the wheel industry during the past 12 months. Nominees must have demonstrated exceptional service, integrity and business ethics, be a member of SEMA and WTC and devote a majority of his/her annual business resources to a product or service related to the wheel industry throughout the last 12 months.
The WTC membership comprises companies whose business focuses on the wheel industry, from manufacturers, importers, distributors, tire and wheel dealers, to service providers.
