NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 30, 2006) — Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire L.L.C. has launched a new point-of-sale system for its affiliated dealers.
The CornerStone system went live last week at two affiliated dealers in Texas. The system has been used by Bridgestone/Firestone's company-owned outlets for six years. The software allows dealers to manage inventories, create work orders, store customer history and print invoices. The system also has a database marketing element for dealers to remind customers of regular visits or offer coupons.
“We are offering our affiliated dealers our support and training as they adjust to this new system,” said Kirk Sutherland, manager of retail marketing POS. “We have custom-tailored this service for our dealers and will be on-site for all training and support when they start on this new system.”
