BOWIE, Md. (May 26, 2006) — The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has announced its fall dates for its Automotive Tire Service (ATS) and Commercial Tire Service (CTS) Certified Instructor Program seminars in Baltimore and Denver.
The TIA Instructor Programs are designed to qualify technicians to go back to their workplaces and conduct Certified Technician courses for other employees, the association said in a press release. The ATS courses, which now include training in tire pressure monitoring systems, are held in three-day and four-day sessions, the latter qualifying technicians to become Certified ATS Advanced Instructors who can train other instructors in the field as well as technicians.
The CTS three-day course is for individuals with more than two years' experience in truck tire service; the four-day session provides an extra day of hands-on training for those with less than two years in the field.
In Baltimore, the three-day ATS course will be held Sept. 26-29, the four-day course Sept. 26-29. The three-day CTS course is scheduled for Dec. 6-8, the four-day course for Dec. 5-8.
In Denver, the ATS courses are set for Nov. 14-16 and 14-17; the CTS courses will be Oct. 25-27 and 24-27.
