CANTON, Ohio (May 18 2006) — Terry's Tire Town of Alliance, Ohio, is the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce's business of the year and a recipient of the chamber's Outstanding Business Award for 2005.
The Canton chamber said it chose Terry's Tire Town for overall stellar performance in the areas of growth, expansion, service, innovation, capital investments, community involvement and responsiveness to challenge. Terry's Tire Town President Will Tolerton accepted the awards at the chamber's recent honors banquet.
In addition to acknowledging the dealership's business growth, innovation and customer service, the Canton chamber noted the firm's community involvement, including financial support of Mount Union College, Habitat for Humanity, Alliance Schools and Little League and other causes.
Terry's, founded 34 years ago with five employees, now operates eight retail stores, two commerical outlets and a 200,000-sq.-ft. warehouse in Ohio with 262 employees. It is building a retread plant in Alliance as well, the chamber said.
The company is an American Car Care Centers (ACCC) Inc. distributor and part of the Best One Tire organization operated by Zurcher Group of Indiana.
