BETHESDA, Md. (May 1, 2006) — Kathleen Schmatz, president and CEO of the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association, has been named to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Association Committee of 100.
The chamber's group comprises the country's leading association chief executives, the aftermarket association said.
“The Association Committee of 100 is one of the most prestigious appointments in the association community,” said Raymond Towle, executive director, association and chamber relations for the U.S. Chamber. “The selection of these executives is a testament to their leadership and standing among their peers.”
Founded in 1958, the Association Committee's members represent association members before the chamber's board of directors. They also enhance chamber lobbying and coalition work, recommend programming and strengthen outreach to the business and association community.
