WAYNE, N.J. (March 16, 2006) — Hankook Tire America Corp. has appointed Jeff Koehler motorsports marketing manager.
The tire maker said Mr. Koehler “brings with him a passion for high-performance motorsports as well as experience both managing and competing in racing events.”
Mr. Koehler is a founding member of the National Auto Sport Association's Northeast Region and has served as both assistant director and marketing manager. He races competitively with NASA's Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Ohio/Indiana regions where he has placed second and third in class, according to Hankook, and also was the 2003 Class E Season Champion in NASA Autocross.
With a background of more than 10 years in advertising and marketing, Mr. Koehler specializes primarily in the automotive industry and has worked with AMCI (Automotive Marketing Consultants Inc.) for clients including the Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, AMG and Pontiac brands.
Hankook's motorsports program “supports every level of automotive enthusiast from autocross competition to rally to open wheel racing,” the company said, noting its “proven success on the track means the ultimate performance on the street.” It also said it offers “one of the most aggressive contingency programs to help competitors of all levels achieve success.”
