ASHLAND, Ohio (Jan. 24, 2006) — The Tire Industry Association (TIA) and the Ohio Tire Dealers and Retreaders Association (OTDRA) will host a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) training program Feb. 4 in Ashland.
The seminar involves TPMS training and certification for tire service personnel. Topics include proper inflation, procedures for repairing, installing and removing the systems and demounting and mounting tires and rims with the systems. TIA announced it was launching a TPMS training program as part of its basic training series last fall at the SEMA Show.
The Ohio program has 50 slots available. Cost is $249 per participant for OTDRA members and $399 per participant for non-members. Registration deadline is Jan. 30.
