Hercules Tire & Rubber Co. has consolidated its Hercules Tire Division and Tire Dealers Warehouse (TDW) businesses into one unit, Hercules USA, and named Mike Distel president of that unit.
In addition, President Larry Seawell has taken on the CEO duties of Craig Anderson, who retired Oct. 31 after nearly 30 years with the Findlay-based company.
Messrs. Seawell and Distel have been with Hercules since 1994 and 1993, respectively.
Hercules also named Kevin Breen vice president of private bands, Lou Fontana vice president of purchasing, Rob Keller, president of Hercules Canada, and Joe Recchia president of Hercules International (which operates with the name Treadway Exports).
Steve Buck, tire division vice president and general manager, is retiring Jan. 2 after 20 years with Hercules, the company also announced.
Hercules Tire, originally a cooperative of 33 shareholders/owners founded in 1952, was acquired earlier this year by FdG Associates L.L.C., a New York City private equity firm. It is a wholesale distributor and marketer of the Hercules, Merit, Signet and Superior private brands.
