NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 2, 2005) — Toyota Motor Corp.'s Lexus Division has selected Bridgestone's Potenza RE92A all-season radials as original equipment on the 2006 IS 250 and IS 350 luxury sport sedans, according to Bridgestone/Firestone (BFS).
BFS said the Potenza tires feature a tread design with interlocking triangulated blocks and circumferential grooves for wet, dry and snow traction. Sidewall stiffeners are designed to resist lateral movement for tire stability.
The all-season tires will fit the four-door IS 350 in size 225/45R17 91V in the front and size 245/45R17 95W in the rear. The IS 250 has two drivetrain options, all-wheel drive (AWD) and rear-wheel drive (RWD). The AWD will carry size 225/45R17 90W in all positions, and the RWD will carry size 225/45R17 91V in the front and 245/45R17 95W in the rear.
“These are premium fitments on what is undoubtedly a highly anticipated and stunningly designed luxury vehicle,” said Michael Martini, president of the original equipment consumer tire division for BFS.
