BEDFORD, Texas (Nov. 2, 2005) — The Automotive Service Association (ASA) is offering a new membership benefits package that includes Web-based training.
Through an agreement with Delphi Corp., ASA members will be able to choose from a variety of Web-based training and educational packages at a preferred rate. ASA said the new products and services will help members establish career development programs for technicians, provide effective consumer communication tools and offer access to additional repair information options.
“We're pleased to be starting a new relationship with Delphi. ASA members want business growth and long-term success, and the applications Delphi plans to offer our members can help make that happen,” said John Scully, ASA's executive vice president. “From assessment programs to training sessions, ASA members will be able to select from an array of Web-based packages to strengthen their business, attract technicians and retain valued employees.”
More information on the new program is available at www.ASAOnDemand.com or by calling ASA at (800) 272-7467, ext. 295.
Bedford-based ASA also noted that its Web site, www.asashop.org, recently marked its 10th anniversary. Launched in October 1995, the site has evolved into what ASA called an informational resource for the automotive repair industry, incorporating thousands of pages of information and receiving more than 2 million hits per month.
