Rotary Lift has redesigned its VersaLift family of low-rise vehicle lifts to handle higher capacities.
The new lifts allow technicians to service a wider variety of vehicles, including trucks and sport-utility vehicles, the company said. The VLXS10 VersaLift offers a lifting capacity of 10,000 pounds, and the VLXS7 VersaLift can lift up to 7,000 pounds.
The low-rise lifts are used for a variety of quick-service tasks, including tire and brake work, detailing, body work, refinishing, new car prep, visual inspections and estimating. They eliminate time-consuming jacking and bending by technicians, the company said.
The redesigned set of lifts also feature new pads and adapters and wider drive-over capability. The VersaLifts' rises range from 21 3/4 inches to 30 7/16 inches. They can be used indoors with ceilings as low as nine feet or outdoors, the company said.

Tire cleaning machine
Tesco of America Inc. has introduced an automatic tire cleaning machine for use in retreading operations and by large fleets using water soluable tire sealants, balancing powders and other tire mounting materials.
The unit, ATC-753, is fully automatic and can handle tires mounted on 19.5-inch to 24.5-inch rims, including super singles.
Once rolled on to the machine, the tire is rotated while a vacuum removes loose debris. Next, a high pressure water spray cleans the inside of the casing, scraping away any stuck residue without harming the inner liner, the company said.
The tire is re-vacuumed to remove any remaining debris and is ready for inspection. The entire process takes less than two minutes.
Waste material from the process can be drained into a 55-gallon drum or into the sewage system in accordance with local regulations, the company said.
Tesco said the unit provides a deterrent to retreading chamber fires.

Wheel torque tool
Central Tools Inc. has started distributing the Torque Buddy, a wheel torque tool.
The device is designed to make wheel installation faster and more accurate, the unit's inventor claimed.
The tool helps installers tighten and loosen lug nuts while a vehicle is elevated and the tires are not touching the ground. The tool grips the tire and allows the wheel to move but not rotate, creating a wedge against the ground.
The tool has six teeth on its gripping surface to grip the tire's tread. It also has a recessed area for the installer to place his or her foot to hold the device steady during use.
