FINDLAY, Ohio, (Sept. 27, 2005) — Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has appointed Richard E. Williams to the newly created position of vice president, global supply chain.
A 24-year veteran of supply chain and purchasing activities, Mr. Williams worked for Eaton Corp. for nine years in senior supply chain management. He will oversee Cooper's global purchasing function, off-take and outsource programs as well as supply chain worldwide.
“As Cooper Tire continues to expand around the world, supply chain management becomes a more important skill to the organization,” said Cooper Chairman and CEO Thomas Dattilo. “Rick Williams is a great addition to the company.”
Mr. Williams holds a bachelor's degree from Ohio State University and an MBA in business management from Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio.
A resident of Ottawa, Ohio, Mr. Williams is a member of the Institute of Supply Management.
