BOULDER CITY, Nev. (Sept. 21, 2005) — Amerityre Corp. said it has completed the developmental phase of its non-pneumatic temporary passenger car tire and hopes to begin testing prototypes.
Amerityre is delivering production-quality prototypes to the automotive industry for testing and evaluation, the Boulder City-based company said, adding that the tires have completed some testing and can carry loads of up to 2,000 pounds per tire.
“The automotive industry evaluation phase is the next important step towards commercializing this technology,” said Richard Steinke, president and CEO. “We now have a product that can cover the entire range of small to full-size automobiles. We've had discussions with several interested car companies and they have been anxiously waiting for samples.”
Amerityre claims the tires will provide motorists with a more reliable spare tire because it doesn't require air and won't go flat.
