BEDFORD, Texas (Sept. 16, 2005) —Representatives of several original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) will present individual seminars Thursday, Nov. 3, at the Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS) in Las Vegas.
CARS, an annual event sponsored by the Mechanical Division of the Automotive Service Association (ASA), will be Nov. 3-5 at The Mirage hotel and casino.
Manufacturers conducting the OEM technology sessions include DaimlerChrysler, Ford Motor Co., Honda, General Motors Corp., Mercedes Benz, Toyota and Volkswagen. They will provide attendees with specific information on new systems or features that are being incorporated into today´s automobiles. Attendance to the sessions is open to anyone registered for CARS.
ASA said attendees registering for CARS by Sept. 23 can save $100. Secure online registration—for CARS as well as the OEM sessions—is available at www.CARSonline.org.
“CARS 2005 offers the opportunity to prepare your shop for the vehicles you will service in the near future,” said Bill Haas, ASA's vice president, education and training. “We are extremely pleased to have this level of participation again this year from the manufacturers. It's sessions like these that provide CARS attendees with the competitive edge they need to be successful.”
The event also will feature eight technical courses and five Automotive Management Institute-approved management courses.
