BETHESDA, Md. (Sept. 14, 2005) — New October Fall Car Care Month posters and banners have been added to the Car Care Council's “Be Car Care Aware” point-of-sale (POS) kits.
The council said the POS kits—which can be ordered through its www.carcare.org Web site—are aimed at helping repair shops and parts stores focus motorists' attention on the importance of preparing their vehicles for the upcoming winter months.
Other materials in the kits include “Be Car Care Aware” signage, consumer education materials and the industry's comprehensive Service Interval Schedule. The schedule helps consumers track regular vehicle servicing by taking the guesswork out of what vehicle systems need to be routinely inspected, the council said, and when service or repair should be performed.
The kits also include materials that can be used for National Car Care Month events in April 2006.
As a bonus, auto repair shops and parts stores that purchase the kits will be included in the council's “Find A Shop” and “Find A Store” locators on its Web site, which the Bethesda-based organization said receives more than 100,000 hits per month.
