Colony Tire building Bandag retread plant

MUSCATINE, Iowa (Sept. 14, 2005) — Colony Tire Corp. of Edenton, N.C., will open a Bandag retread plant this year, Bandag Inc. announced this week.

The facility, at Colony Tire's headquarters location, is expected to be ready for production by late October, Bandag said.

Colony Tire was founded in 1976 and employs more than 400 workers at 40 locations.
