DETROIT (Sept. 2, 2005) — Crain Communications Inc., publisher of Tire Business, has pledged $100,000 to relief efforts following Hurricane Katrina in the Gulf Coast as well as matching funds for employees' donations.
Detroit-based Crain said it will donate $50,000 immediately to the American Red Cross to help in areas of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama devastated by the storm. The company also will donate another $50,000 to a second disaster relief agency yet to be named.
The company said it also will match contributions by employees to the Red Cross from Aug. 30 to Sept. 16.
