FINDLAY, Ohio (Sept. 1, 2005) — Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has promoted three executives within its marketing group.
James P. Keller has been named vice president, marketing for North America. A 22-year Cooper veteran, he will take on the challenge of ensuring that Cooper's products, customer service and marketing programs are in step with the market and exceed customers' expectations, Cooper said.
Mr. Keller most recently served as vice president of competition and enthusiast products, overseeing the Findlay-based tire maker's motorsports activities around the world as well as the operations of its Mickey Thompson unit, since 2004. He also has served as a plant manager, vice president of corporate purchasing, managing director of Cooper Tire International Trading Co. in Singapore and manager of corporate purchasing.
Cooper has appointed Philip F. Kortokrax general manager for Mickey Thompson Performance Tires and Wheels, responsible for directing, administering and coordinating the activities of Cooper's motorsport programs in North America as well as the daily operation of the Mickey Thompson division. He has served as director of internal audit, audit manager and several production management and information technology positions.
Christopher P. Pantani has been named director, UHP marketing and business development, responsible for helping identify new customers and potential relationships for the continued growth of Cooper's house brand products. He will retain his responsibilities in the UHP and retail marketing areas as well as continuing to work with the sales teams to better develop UHP sales opportunities, the company said.
He joined Cooper in 2003 after 12 years in the tire business. He most recently served as Cooper's UHP product manager.
