BEDFORD, Texas (Aug. 17, 2005) — To help explain to customers the “myth of maintenance-free vehicles,” the Automotive Service Association (ASA) is offering a new customer-targeted brochure.
Titled “Your guide to cost-effective vehicle ownership and maintenance,” the brochure was developed by the ASA's Mechanical Division marketing subcommittee. Its purpose, according to the association, is to “provide your existing and potential customers with a better understanding of the value of a well-maintained automobile.”
The booklet includes “helpful facts” and a question-answer section. The ASA said it can be put on a service counter, handed to or mailed to a customer to provide auto service shops “with a new avenue to educate motorists in your neighborhood.”
