WAYNE, N.J. (Aug. 15, 2005) — Hankook Tire Co. Ltd. has signed a supply contract to be an optional fitment on the 2006 Saturn Ion.
Hankook will supply the H725A tires to the General Motors Corp. Saturn division in size P205/55R16H. The tire is designed for enhanced fuel economy and high-speed performance, the company said.
With this contract, Hankook said its overseas OE business will rise to $100 million annually. The tire maker also is seeking contracts with DaimlerChrysler A.G., Toyota and Mercedes-Benz.
