The Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) and BFS Retail & Commercial Operations L.L.C. (BFRC) have formed a partnership to offer a formal lift training program.
The partnership, dubbed a ``strategic safety alliance,'' is aimed at complimenting ALI's mission of promoting the safe design, construction, installation and use of automotive lift products. BFRC, a subsidiary of Bridgestone/Firestone, operates more than 2,200 locations in North America with nearly 23,000 employees.
``The development of a BFRC-corporate sponsored automotive lift training program that incorporates the safety materials developed by ALI is a win for both organizations,'' said Darrell Rowe, manager of associate education and development at BFRC. ``It is a strong move in favor of providing our teammates and indirectly our customers with the assurance of our company's commitment to a safety-minded automotive environment.''
BFRC plans to circulate more than 150 safety videos and 3,000 lift guides to trainers providing formal lift safety training throughout BFRC's network of outlets.
