Hennelly Tire & Auto Inc. has bought a Fort Myers, Fla., dealership and reopened it as its seventh Tire Choice & Total Car Care store in Florida.
Hennelly Tire bought the Fort Myers location from C&C Tire & Auto Service Inc., refurbished it and reopened it on April 18 as a Tire Choice store, said founder Dan Hennelly. C&C Tire still owns two other stores in Naples and Bonita Springs, Fla., Mr. Hennelly said. ``This acquisition made a lot of sense-it is a new store in a very high-end and expanding market,'' he said.
Three other Tire Choice stores are under construction in Tampa, Fla., Naples and Bonita Springs, and the company expects to open a total of five newly built stores by year-end.
Mr. Hennelly, former president of Morgan Tire & Auto Inc., founded Tire Choice last year with five stores. He plans to expand the chain to 35 stores in five years.
