LOS ANGELES (July 12, 2005) — Hot-rod creator and American Hot Rod TV show host Boyd Coddington has signed on as the national spokesman for O'Reilly Auto Parts' chain of 1,286 stores.
O'Reilly said radio spots with Mr. Coddington started airing July 11 in Atlanta, Columbus, Ohio, Dallas, Louisville, Ky., New Orleans and Oklahoma City. Television spots have been airing since April in select markets on USA Network, MTV, ABC and the Discovery Channel. The Springfield, Mo.-based auto parts chain has stores in about 80 U.S. markets.
“Boyd is legendary in the automotive industry, and we are proud to have him as our company spokesperson,” said Ron Byerly, vice president of advertising, marketing and training for O'Reilly.
American Hot Rod airs on the Discovery Channel.
