HADERA, Israel (June 13, 2005) — Alliance Tire Co. is introducing a line of 40 tires for forestry equipment including a new line of LS 2 forestry tires.
The Alliance forestry line features steel reinforced tires for forwarders and harvesters, agro-forestry R1 tires for high-horsepower tractors that combine logging and agricultural tasks and the new LS tire series for skidders. The new tires also feature strong nylon casings and steel belts, high under-tread gauge dimensions, special tread rubber, reinforced sidewalls and protective mudguard design, Alliance said.
The design and construction of the tires exhibit high traction, low slippage, reduced fuel consumption and smooth, long-lasting performance in severe forest working conditions, according to the Israel-based tire maker.
Alliance President Joseph Anglister said the company is leveraging its expertise in rugged agricultural and industrial tire engineering to increase its presence in the forestry industry.
“Technologies that have helped Alliance become a leader in radial and flotation technology are helping our customers handle the severe working conditions of forestry job sites,” he said.
