NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 31, 2005) — Bridgestone/Firestone's retail and commercial outlets have partnered with the U.S. Postal Service, Advo and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to raise awareness for missing children.
BFS said the program—dubbed “Have You Seen Me?”—will be launched at some 2,000 BFS stores nationwide. The program expands direct mail producer Advo's campaign of postcards distributed to households nationwide. Starting this month, larger flyers of at least six missing children will be set up in Firestone Complete Auto Care and ExperTire stores, with TiresPlus stores to follow.
“With the million of customers that walk through our doors each year, it is a great way for our company to support NCMEC's efforts,” said Larry Magee, chairman, CEO and president of BFS Retail & Commercial Operations L.L.C.
Since 2004 BFS has sponsored Advo's age-progression efforts, subsidizing costs associated with generating the photos.
