FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (April 29, 2005) — Hennelly Tire & Auto Inc., which does business as The Tire Choice & Total Car Care, opened its seventh store in Florida by buying an existing outlet.
Hennelly Tire bought a C&C Tire outlet in Fort Myers, Fla., refurbished the store and reopened it as Tire Choice on April 18, said founder Dan Hennelly. C&C Tire still operates two other stores in Naples and Bonita Springs, Mr. Hennelly said.
“This acquisition made a lot of sense—it is a new store in a very high-end and expanding market,” Mr. Hennelly told Tire Business.
Three other Tire Choice stores are under construction in Tampa, Naples and Bonita Springs, and the company expects to open five total new-construction stores by the end of the year.
Mr. Hennelly, former president of Morgan Tire & Auto Inc., founded Tire Choice last year with five stores. He plans to have a stable of 35 stores in five years.
