EAST NORRITON, Pa (April 18, 2005) — Treadways Corp. has named Lyle Symonds senior vice president of private brand sales, overseeing the Laramie, Eldorado, Jetzon and Telstar tire divisions.
Most recently Mr. Symonds, a five-year Treadways veteran, had served as vice president, sales and marketing for the Eldorado division. Prior to joining Treadways, he worked for Continental Tire North America Inc.
Replacing Mr. Symonds in the Eldorado division will be Chris Dickson, currently dealer development manager for the Treadways' TreadXpress division. Mr. Dickson, who has worked for Treadways for two years after a 31-year career with Continental, will relocate from Texas to East Norriton.
Additionally, Bob Klimm has been named vice president, sales and marketing for Treadways' Laramie brand. Mr. Klimm most recently served as national sales director for TreadXpress and will be based in Dallas.
John McAndrew was named vice president, sales and marketing for TreadXpress, responsible for sales growth of the eight wholesale centers in the U.S. He has worked for Treadways for 10 years, most recently as vice president of special accounts.
Treadways said its Sumitomo Tire unit will remain a separate division under Richard Purol, vice president, sales and marketing. That division reports directly to President Roy Araki, while the others report to Mr. Symonds, who in turn reports to Mr. Araki.
