A Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. advertisement in the April 25, 1914, Saturday Evening Post depicts ``The Three Tire-Wise Men.'' The car owner, the dealer and the chauffeur, it reads, ``are a trio of tire authority from which there is no appeal. Their endorsement of Firestone Equipment is a decree which has its foundation in experience.'' Copy alongside the dealer says: ``They don't come back so often, but they do come back for more Firestone tires.''
