BETHESDA, Md. (March 9, 2005) — Five state governors have signed proclamations declaring April as National Car Care Month, the Car Care Council said.
The governors of Louisiana, Michigan, Nebraska, Nevada and South Carolina signed the proclamations that urged motorists to have their vehicles inspected and proper maintenance performed. Proclamations issued by state governors are public service documents that are not legally binding.
The Car Care Council sponsors the car care month as part of its “Be Car Care Aware” consumer education campaign.
“More and more states are realizing the importance of the ‘Be Car Care Aware' campaign and National Car Care Month,” said Rich White, executive director of the Car Care Council.
