CLERMONT-FERRAND, France (March 1, 2005) — Group Michelin is proposing Michel Rollier, its chief financial officer since 1999, be elected a managing partner, to replace René Zingraff when he retires.
Mr. Rollier, 60, has been with Michelin since 1996, serving duties in the legal and finance departments before advancing to CFO in October 1999. His replacement will be Jean-Dominique Senard, who will join Michelin March 15 in advance of becoming CFO at year-end, the tire maker said.
In a prepared statement, Michelin Chairman Edouard Michelin and Mr. Zingraff said they value Mr. Rollier's “competence, human skills and dedication” to the company and that they believe he has “all the qualities to contribute with us to the continued strength and efficiency of the company's management.”
Mr. Zingraff, 68, has been with the company since 1963 and a managing partner since 1986.
