HERSHEY, Pa. (Feb. 15, 2005) – Universal Vintage Tire Co. has become the sole distributor of Dunlop-brand vintage tires in the U.S.
The company, based in Hershey, has been a supplier of vintage and collector car tires for more than 37 years. “Dunlop offers an enormous choice of classic British made designs and original tread patterns,” Universal Vintage said, noting the brand was the original equipment tire on many collectible British autos such as Rolls Royce, Jaguar, MG, Austin Healey, and Triumph.
The Dunlops distributed by the company are produced by Goodyear Dunlop Tyres U.K. Ltd. in Birmingham, England. Universal Vintage Tire said it will stock a full range of Dunlop tires in beaded edge, wired on and radial ply treads.
Universal Vintage Tire—which carries a broad range of collector tires for most antique and classic vehicles produced prior to 1975— also markets the Lester and Universal private labels.
Universal Vintage is owned by Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Coker Tire Co. For more information about the firm, visit its Web site at www.universaltire.com.
