DALLAS (Jan. 31, 2005) — Goodyear is launching the Dunlop SP60, a high-volume, all-season passenger tire, during its dealer conference in Dallas this week.
The Dunlop SP60 replaces the SP40 and will be available in 27 sizes. Goodyear said the tire features “Traction Web,” a pattern of web-like blocks and grooves that enhances traction for wet, dry and situational handling. Large shoulder blocks and a mult-pitch tread are designed for long tread life and a quiet, comfortable ride, according to Goodyear.
The tire also features MSI—mud, snow, ice—Traction technology that includes lateral tread grooves, multiple tread block edges and cross sipes. Goodyear said the Dunlop SP60 will be manufactured at its Tyler, Texas, Fayetteville, N.C., and Union City, Tenn., plants.
