FULLERTON, Calif. (Dec. 10, 2004) — Yokohama Tire Corp. said a car shod with its tires scored an overall victory at the National Auto Sport Association (NASA) 25 Hours of Thunderhill.
The No. 18 Crazy Redhead Racing/Fordahl Motorsports Porsche RSR finished first in the race, held Dec. 3-5 and organized by the NASA. The car finished 30 more laps than the next closest competitor, Yokohama said. The victory is a back-to-back overall win for Yokohama's Advan tires, the tire maker said.
“The Advan race tires allowed us to turn in the fastest lap and win the overall event,” said one of the three drivers, Greg Fordahl, according to a Yokohama statement. “We had zero tire issues, and each driver was impressed by the constant performance of the tires.”
Other teams sporting Yokohama tires finished 35th and 55th.
