ASA Tire Systems has re-written its complete tire dealer software program to create a new software solution called TreadX.
The new software system is graphical and not character based, said Dave Duchesne, director of sales and marketing for ASA Tire Systems, who introduced the program at a news conference during the SEMA Show. ``Our customers wanted signatures and pictures, and you can't do that in character based.''
In creating TreadX, ASA took the best features of its TireMax and TirePro software systems, added new features requested by customers as well as features to address potential future industry requirements and designed a new software application to help independent tire dealers increase sales and profitability, he said.
TreadX software allows tire dealers to process multiple orders on one screen, provides good, better, best quoting, can capture signatures, provides instant access to tire images, specification and sales tips, allows for the e-mailing of invoices and billing statements and offers a complement of e-commerce products. In addition, TreadX provides completely integrated accounting and allows for tie in with industry suppliers.
``We worked with dealers across the country to develop a graphical product that was intuitive, a system that doesn't just record information and print invoices but gives them the tools to actually increase sales and profitability at the point of sale,'' said Wayne Croswell, ASA Tire Systems president.
While TreadX replaces the Tire Max and Tire Pro software systems, ASA will continue to support and enhance those products for the foreseeable future, Mr. Duchesne said.
ASA is offering current ASA customers significant allowances to move to the new system, Mr. Duschene said. ``They've been customers for a long time and have earned the right to move to TreadX at minimal cost,'' he said.
