CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Dec. 1, 2004) — Continental Tire North America Inc. (CTNA) will raise prices by up to 6 percent on all its flag, associate and private brand passenger and light truck tires Feb. 1.
The company began notifying customers of the price increase the week of Nov. 29, with specific details as to market line and/or size still to be released.
This would be the third price increase for passenger and light truck tires in a year for CTNA. The Charlotte-based tire maker raised passenger and light truck tire prices on June 1 by 3 to 5 percent and on Feb. 1 by 3 to 6 percent.
CTNA also recently announced a 3- to 6-percent price hike on commercial and off-the-road tires effective Jan. 1.
