LAS VEGAS (Nov. 1, 2004) — Goodyear will showcase its three new Dunlop tires to tire dealers and consumers at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas, Nov. 2-5.
The Dunlop SP Sport Maxx, Dunlop Direzza DZ101 and Dunlop Grandtrek AT20 are part of Goodyear's plan to revitalize the Dunlop brand.
The Sport Maxx, described as the new “flagship” ultra-performance tire, emphasizes ultimate traction on dry and wet pavement, Goodyear said. The tire uses Goodyear's Multi Radius Tread technology to put more rubber on the road for improved traction.
The Direzza DZ101 is available in 15- to 19-inch rim diameters. The tuner tire is aimed at modified sport compact cars.
The Grandtrek AT20 is a luxury highway tire for mid-size sport-utility vehicles. The tire is designed to diminish the “truck ride” of these SUVs, which have experienced dramatic growth.
“New products are the lifeblood of our business,” said Andy Traicoff, director of Dunlop consumer tire marketing. “New tire development is focused on the industry's fastest growing areas, such as in high-performance and SUV tire sales, to improve dealers' sales opportunities.”
