AKRON (Oct. 20, 2004) — Goodyear's Assurance all-season tire featuring TripleTred Technology is a finalist in the 2005 Automotive News PACE Awards.
The 11th annual awards celebrate innovation by original equipment suppliers in products and processes, according to Automotive News, which is a sister publication of Tire Business. Winners, to be selected by an independent panel of judges, will be announced April 11 in Detroit. The awards are co-sponsored by Capgemini and the Transportation Research Center Inc.
“Goodyear is honored that this innovation has been recognized by the PACE committee,” said Joseph Gingo, Goodyear's executive vice president of quality systems and chief technical officer. “TripleTred Technology is the current state of all-season tire science, and it represents Goodyear's continued commitment to technical leadership and innovation.”
Goodyear is the only tire company among the 23 finalists for the award.
