TOKYO (Oct. 19, 2004) — Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. will feature its Advan performance products at the Sao Paulo Motor Show this month in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The show will be the first opportunity for Yokohama to introduce its Advan products to the Latin American market, the tire maker said. The show runs from Oct. 21 to 31. In September Yokohama highlighted the same products at the Paris Motor Show.
Yokohama said Latin America plays a large part in its global growth strategy. In Brazil especially, Yokohama is building a “proactive sales strategy” with its high-performance passenger car tires touted as the main product. The goal is to sell more than 1 million tires by 2010.
In Sao Paulo, Yokohama will feature its Advan Sport flagship tire and Advan S.T. for sport-utility vehicles. Both go on sale in 2005.
