LAYFAYETTE, Colo. (Oct. 6, 2004) — Nitronics Systems Inc. introduced a coin- or credit card-operated nitrogen gas dispenser for cars and trucks.
The TireLast Nitrogen Station can supply either nitrogen or compressed air. Users pay with coins or a card swipe. The system uses semi-permeable membranes in its generator to produce nitrogen.
“Car and light truck owners have been asking us for a self-service vending unit that will enable them to refill their tires with nitrogen easily and inexpensively,” said Nick Verini, president of Nitronics. “Consumers will now be able to get nitrogen on the road with 24-hour access after getting their tires initially filled at tire stores across the country.”
The systems, which will be produced in Colorado, are aimed primarily at convenience stores and service stations. The machines will be available in January.
