YONKERS, N.Y. (Oct. 5, 2004) — Consumer Reports rated the Goodyear Fortera HL tire the best overall in tests of 22 different all-season light truck tires, with the Pirelli Scorpion STR A and Hankook DynaPro AS RG03 in second and third, respectively.
The consumer magazine said all three tires received “very good” scores. Tested models were size P235/70R16 with S- and T-speed ratings. The full report is available in the November issue of the magazine, published by Consumers Union.
“Most of these all-season light truck tires performed well overall,” said David Champion, senior director of Consumer Report's Auto Test facility in East Haddam, Conn. “Tires that score highest blend short dry- and wet-stopping capability with competent handling and hydroplaning resistance.”
