AKRON (Sept. 14, 2004) — International Truck and Engine Corp.'s new International CXT will sport Goodyear commercial truck tires, the Akron-based tire maker said.
The CXT, which stands for “commercial extreme truck,” is touted as the largest production pickup truck. The vehicle is 9 feet tall and more than 21 feet long. Its diesel engine provides up to six tons of towing power. The truck costs $93,000 to $115,000, Goodyear said.
The truck will be outfitted with 22.5-inch Goodyear Unisteel G159A radials in front and 167A radials in the rear. The tires are produced in Godyear's Danville, Va., plant, the company said.
