BETHESDA, Md. (July 13, 2004) — With National Car Care Month behind it for this year, the Car Care Council now is offering “Be Car Care Aware” point-of-sale starter kits for repair shops and parts stores.
The kits, aimed to reach consumers during the summer vacation season, can be ordered at the council's Web site: www.carcare.org. The council provided similar kits for the car care month in April.
“Now that the summer travel season is upon us, there's no better way to help increase traffic to your business than by using the starter kit marketing and promotional materials to offer pre-vacation vehicle checkups,” said Rich White, executive director of the Car Care Council.
The kit includes signage, consumer education materials and a service interval schedule. Shops that buy the kits also will be included in the store locator on the council's Web site. The kit also has materials for the annual April National Car Care Month event.
