WASHINGTON (July 9, 2004) — Key officials of the Automotive Service Association (ASA) met with Sen. Blanche Lincoln, D-Ark., in Washington to discuss small business and auto service issues.
The ASA officials—including Board Chairman Geralynn Kottschade, President Ron Pyle, Secretary/Treasurer Charlie Elder and Washington Representative Bob Redding—discussed their particular concerns with Ms. Lincoln about the Motor Vehicle Owner's Right to Repair Act, which the ASA opposes.
Also, the association has approved as its newest state affiliate ASA-Michigan—the 16th such affiliate in the ASA organization.
