NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 25, 2004) — Italian sports car maker Ferrari has selected Bridgestone Corp.'s Potenza RE050 RFT run-flat tires as optional equipment for its 612 Scaglietti.
The tires—size 245/45ZR18 (96Y) for the front and 285/40ZR19 (103Y) for the rear—are a factory option on the new V-12, 540-horsepower, four-passenger vehicle.
This fitment marks Ferrari's first selection of Bridgestone run-flats, but other vehicles from the Italian car maker sport Bridgestone tires as standard equipment, the tire maker said. The 612 Scaglietti is the 11th vehicle model for which Bridgestone has supplied run-flat tires as factory equipment since 1999.
