ROME, Ga. (June 1, 2004) — Pirelli Tire North America Inc. has named Peter Tyson vice president, advertising, public relations and motorsports.
Mr. Tyson moved from Milan, Italy, to the U.S. for the new position. He most recently had been director of global brand support for Pirelli. Prior to that, he was director of marketing for Pirelli in the United Kingdom.
During his tenure in Milan, Pirelli said, Mr. Tyson had responsibility for world-wide brand support as well as a marketing budget of about $100 million. The tagline, “Power is nothing without control,” also was developed under his tenure.
