PITTSBURGH (May 28, 2004) — Former Goodyear executive Kevin B. Kramer, 44, has been named president of Alcoa Cast Auto Wheels, with responsibility for the development and growth of the company's cast auto wheel business worldwide.
“Kevin brings a combination of extensive sales and marketing experience with strong customer focus and deep knowledge of the automotive industry to Alcoa, important qualities as we expand our global reach in sales and manufacturing in our automotive portfolio of businesses,” said Bill Christopher, executive vice president of Alcoa and Group President, Alcoa Aerospace, Automotive and Commercial Transportation, in a prepared statement.
Alcoa produces cast aluminum auto wheels at plants in the U.S., Canada, Venezuela and Italy. Mr. Kramer will be based in Cleveland at the Alcoa Automotive, Aerospace and Commercial Transportation office.
He comes to Alcoa after a 21-year career with Goodyear, where he was most recently vice president Original Equipment Sales, North American Tires, in Akron. In that role he was responsible for Goodyear's tire business with original equipment vehicle manufacturers in North America as well as having global responsibility for Ford Motor Co., General Motors Corp. and DaimlerChrysler.
