GREENVILLE, S.C. (May 25, 2004) — Michelin North America Inc.'s BFGoodrich brand has partnered with Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and FLW Outdoors to participate in a program that helps parents teach their children to fish.
The event, “Casting Smiles—Fishing With Kids,” will be June 5 at Wal-Mart stores nationwide. The program features a variety of fishing activities for children and their families, the tire maker said. Casting games teach accuracy and distance, and a reeling race challenges children to quickly pull in their catches.
“Fishing is a sport that draws more than 52 million people to the water each year,” said Thom Peebles, brand director for BFGoodrich. “Casting Smiles is an excellent opportunity for BFGoodrich tires to support an important customer like Wal-Mart.”
